If you use Microsoft Exchange mail flow rules for tasks like prepending an external sender banner, classifying the risk score of an email, or other internal categorizations, follow the steps below to ignore these rules for internal Workshop emails.
Workshop includes the header X-Workshop-Safelist-Key in all emails that are sent to your organization. The value is unique to your organization and will be the same for all emails you receive. We suggest using this value to set an exception. The corresponding key value can be found within the setup page on your Onboarding Checklist.
You may also configure an exception using Workshop's sending IP address, but some email security appliances may change the IP address that is present in email headers, so be sure to verify that your security appliance will not modify incoming email IP's.
- Navigate to the Exchange Mail Flow rules and select the rule that is applying the warning banner
- Add an exception for Workshop mail by selecting:
- The message headers
- matches these text patterns
- Enter text (input X-Workshop-Safelist-Key from your Workshop setup page, #3 in image below)
- Enter words (input the unique value from your Workshop setup page, #4 in image below)
- Save the exception once all fields are filled out
