The easiest way to create stunning graphics for your newsletter. This integration is made with the non-designer in mind - simply connect to your Canva account & access your Canva designs directly in Workshop.
Any user within Workshop can integrate their own Canva account into their media library view.
Step by step integration
Navigate to your media library in Workshop, this can be done from the Manage > Media Library in the top navigation or through an image block in your email:
Within your media library, you will see a new left hand navigation menu that includes an 'Integrations' section with a Canva tab present in that section.
From this left hand navigation menu, you will initially connect your Canva account.
Upon clicking 'Connect Canva Integration', you will be redirected to a Canva page.
- If you are already logged into your Canva account, you can proceed with that login or switch accounts.
- If you are not already logged into your Canva account, you will be prompted to login
After you have connected your Canva account, you will be able to locate your Canva designs within the Canva tab in your media library's left hand navigation menu.
- The Canva designs that will be available to you are any that you own or that have been shared with your account.
When creating any of your future emails, you can easily insert your Canva design into an image content block within your email.
Or change out an existing image in your email with a Canva design:
From your media library, you also have the ability to click 'Edit in Canva'. Workshop will open the Canva design in Canva to allow you to easily edit your Canva design and return to Workshop to insert it into your Workshop email.
Can I access my GIFs?
Yes! How to Insert a GIF from Canva
Important: Clicking the Insert button on a Canva asset will insert it as a png.
To insert as a GIF, follow the steps below.
- Open Media Library and locate the Canva asset
- Click the row of the asset (not the Insert button) to open the preview modal
- From the modal, select GIF and insert from there (see thread for example)
Can I access my videos, presentations etc and insert those Canva project types into an email?
Today you can insert static images or gifs into your emails from this Canva integration. Therefore, if you have a video or presentation asset from Canva in your media library and you insert that video or presentation into your email - we will only display a static image of that video/presentation.
We do not support videos & presentations being inserted into your email from your media library.
Can I disconnect my Canva account?
Yes, at any time you can disconnect your Canva account or disconnect & reconnect a different Canva account! This will have no impacts to the emails you have already sent with Canva design images in them.
