What is the brand kit?
The brand kit lives in your media library and stores your organization's core visual identity — logos, colors, and fonts — in one place. Once it's set up, these assets are available anywhere you build an email, so you're never starting from a blank canvas or guessing at a hex code.
To find it:
- Go to Manage in the top navigation.
- Open the media library.
- Select Brand kit from the left-hand menu.
Please note: You will not be able to access the Brand Kit through the media library within the editor.
From here you can manage three types of assets:
- Logos — your primary logo and any alternate versions (white, black, icon-only, etc.)
- Colors — your primary, text, and secondary brand colors
- Fonts — your default and secondary brand fonts
Setting your brand colors
Under Colors, you'll see your Primary and Text colors up top, with Secondary colors listed below them. Each color has a name (for example, "Fire sauce" or "Baja") and a hex code, which makes it easy to reference later when you're talking through designs with your team.
Tip: Turn on Only allow brand colors if you want every email built from this point forward to pull exclusively from your brand palette. This keeps colors consistent even when multiple people are building emails.
To edit a color:
- Click on the color swatch you want to change.
- Enter a new hex code, or use the color picker.
- Select Save
Setting your brand fonts
Underneath Colors, the Fonts section lists your default font and any secondary fonts. Just like colors, you can toggle Only allow brand fonts to restrict the editor to only these fonts.
Click into a font to preview it before committing to it. The preview shows sample heading and body text so you can see exactly how it will look in an email, plus:
- Whether it's a custom font you've uploaded
- The fallback font that will display for recipients whose device doesn't support your custom font
Managing your logos
The Logos section holds every version of your logo — for example, a full-color version, a white version for dark backgrounds, and an icon-only mark. You can upload additional versions here at any time, and the one marked Default is the version that's pre-selected when you drag a logo block into an email.
Brand colors and fonts show up automatically in the editor
Once your brand kit is set up, you don't have to re-enter your colors and fonts every time you build an email. Open the Styles panel while editing an email, and you'll see your brand colors ready to select for things like background color and body color — no manual hex entry required.
Brand colors available in the Styles panel
This same shortcut appears anywhere a color picker shows up in the editor, including inside individual row and block settings.
Adding your logo to an email
- With an email open in the editor, select Build in the left-hand panel.
- Drag the Logo block onto the canvas.
Selecting the Logo block
- Choose which logo version to use from your brand kit (for example, logo-blue or w-white), then drop it into place.
Using AI to build on-brand content
Beyond colors, fonts, and logos, you can also ask the AI assistant to design entire sections of your email for you — and it will automatically respect your brand kit while doing it.
- In the editor, select Create in the left-hand panel to open the AI assistant.
- Type a description of what you want. For example: "create a branded weekly newsletter with a blue background". Dependent on your settings, and items in your brand kit, Cici will design a page using your default branding.
Prompting the AI assistant
- The assistant thinks through the request and builds the section live in the canvas, refining color, layout, and content as it works.
The AI assistant generating a section
- When it's done, the assistant explains what it built and why. In this example, it recognized that bright red wasn't part of the brand's color palette, and substituted the closest on-brand color instead — along with a written breakdown of each element it added (container, heading, body text, and button).
Note: The AI assistant won't use an off-brand color just because you asked for one by name. If "Only allow brand colors" is turned on in your brand kit (or the assistant simply recognizes the color isn't part of your kit), it will substitute the closest brand color and tell you it did so — keeping every AI-generated section consistent with the rest of your emails.
Reviewing and customizing an AI-generated block
The finished block appears directly on your canvas, fully editable like any other block.
From here, you can fine-tune it just like you would a manually built block:
- Click the row or block to select it.
- Open Styles in the right-hand panel.
- Adjust settings such as Background color (with your brand colors ready to select), Content alignment, and Padding.
This means the AI assistant isn't an all-or-nothing tool — use it to get a strong, on-brand starting point, then adjust colors, spacing, or copy however you'd like before sending.
