What is the social block?
The social block lets you add clickable social media icons to your email, so recipients can find and follow you across platforms. It's available in the Build section of the modern editor, alongside your other content blocks.
Adding a social block
To add a social block:
- Go to Build in the left-hand panel.
- Drag the Social block into your email wherever you'd like it to appear.
By default, the block comes populated with three icons: Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
Removing or adding social platforms
Once the block is in place, select it to open its settings. Each platform is listed individually, with its own expand arrow and delete icon.
-
To remove a platform you don't need, select the trash icon next to it.
- To add a platform, select Add social. You can choose from X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.
Tip: You're not limited to the default three. Add as many platforms as you use, and remove any you don't — you can always come back and adjust the selection later.
Customizing a social icon's link and title
Select a platform to expand its settings. Each one includes a Select Social dropdown, a URL field, a Title field, and Alt text.
By default, the URL points to the platform's home page. If you want the icon to link somewhere more specific — like your company's LinkedIn page instead of linkedin.com — clear the URL field and enter your own link.
The Title field is shown in your analytics, so it's worth giving each link a clear, descriptive name if you're customizing the destination.
Once you've added and configured your platforms, the block updates to show every icon you've included.
Previewing and testing your social links
To confirm your links go to the right place before sending:
- Open the Actions dropdown.
- Select Preview.
- Scroll to your social block and select any icon to confirm it opens the destination you configured.
Note: Icons you haven't customized will open the platform's default home page. Icons with a custom URL — like a personal or company LinkedIn page — will take recipients directly there.
