What are credits?
Credits are how Workshop measures AI usage across your account. Every time Cici does work for you — drafting an email, generating an image, answering a question in chat — it uses a small number of credits. Every plan includes a set number of AI credits each month, so you always know what you're working with.
How credits are used
Different actions use different amounts of credit, based on how much work goes into them:
| Action | Credits used |
|---|---|
| Cici chat (per chat window) | 5 |
| Email generation | 15 |
| Image generation | 1 |
Credits per plan
Credit allotments are set at the plan level:
| Plan | Monthly credits |
|---|---|
| Essential | 100 |
| Enhanced | 200 |
| Premium | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Unlimited |
If you're on Premium or Enterprise, this doesn't apply to you: your credits are unlimited, so there's no pool to manage or split across users.
Going over your credit allotment
Workshop does not automatically bill you for going over your monthly credits, and you won't be hit with a surprise charge. If your account consistently uses more credits than your plan includes, your account manager will reach out to talk through your options. FAQ
How are credits shared across our company account? Here's what that means in practice: if you're on the Essential plan, your account has 100 credits to share across every user on your team each month — not 100 credits per person. So if your account has 5 users, all 5 of them are drawing from that same shared pool of 100 credits. If one person uses 60 credits and another uses 40, your account is now at its limit for the month, regardless of how many people were involved or how the usage was split. Adding more users to your account doesn't add more credits — it just means more people sharing the same monthly total.
Do credits refresh on the 1st of the month, or on your account's signature date? Credits for your account refresh on the 1st of every month.
How can I see how many credits my account has used? Admins can view the credit usage by heading to the billing page under Company settings. If your account consistently uses more credits than your plan includes, your account manager will reach out to talk through your options.
Can I see how many of my users are using credits? If you have questions regarding your companies credits, or credits used by users, please reach out to your account manager.
