By setting up single sign on (SSO), you are enabling your users to securely access multiple applications and services using one set of credentials, eliminating the need to remember different passwords for each service.
Requirements:
Single sign on (SSO) is available on Enhanced & Premium plans for Workshop.
- Access to an IdP application
- Be an administrator of that application
- Be an Admin user within Workshop
- Users must be invited via Workshop to successfully sign in with SSO
Before you Begin:
- Work with your team to gather the list of Workshop users who will be in the application so that you may manage them with a group (if your IdP solution supports group assignment)
Choose your configuration method:
- Navigate to the "Setup Custom SSO page" in Workshop
- Choose your preferred setup method
Configure using IdP XML file:
- Create a Workshop SSO application in your IdP solution
- Generate and upload the XML file to Workshop
- Add the Workshop Issuer (Entity ID) and ACS URL (Reply URL) to your IdP solution
- Perform the required attribute mapping within your IdP solution
- Verify that the Workshop users or SSO group has been assigned to the IdP solution
- Perform a test sign in from within Workshop or your identity solution to activate SSO
Provide IdP Metadata later:
- Select Provide IdP Metadata later and Create provider
- Add the Workshop Issuer (Entity ID) and ACS URL (Reply URL) to your IdP solution
- Perform the required attribute mapping within your identity solution
- Verify that the Workshop users or SSO group has been assigned to the IdP solution
- Back in Workshop, scroll to the identity provider card and paste the Metadata URL from your IdP solution and click the "Create Provider"
- Perform a test sign in from within Workshop or your identity solution to activate SSO
