With our in-app translator, you can translate any text message that you send out of Workshop - a mass or direct text message - in up to 130 languages!
Requirements:
- You must have our SMS channel enabled in your Workshop account
- You must be on our Premium plan for SMS
- Have AI features enabled on your Workshop account
When crafting your text message, you will see the translation option within your toolbar - this will be present for a mass text message or a direct message in the inbox.
When you click on the translation option, you will have the ability to select to translate your message into about 130 languages.
We integrate with DeepL & Microsoft Azure OpenAI to provide our translations in-app.
Once you have selected a language, your translated text will append below your original text.
- This actually allows you the flexibility to decide how you want to send your text message - both versions within one text or send out each version as its own text message.
- This also allows you to see both versions of the text together and make any necessary edits within each version.
FAQs
Since Workshop's Language Translator is powered by AI, will any of my content be used to train the AI models?
No, we do not use any of your content or data to train AI models. If you have any further questions on the third party AI services Workshop uses, please refer to Workshop's AI policy and security protocol
Can I leverage Workshop's translator when sending a direct message via our inbox?
Yes, you can leverage Workshop's in-app translator when sending your direct message.
If my organization does not allow AI to be used within our third-party platforms, is there any way to turn off these features?
Yes, please reach out to your account manager to have AI features disabled in your account. By disabling AI, you will turn off this feature plus, if you have our email channel, any features mentioned in Email: How can I leverage AI when creating content
What if Workshop's translator improperly translates a word/phrase in my text?
Within your Company Settings, you have the ability to exclude certain words or phrases from being translated within your email. We recommend doing this for brand names, proper names, etc.
To note, this will only exclude words/phrases that have been provided prior to send. With SMS, you do have the ability to manually edit any translation prior to send.
