Enabling translation on Pages
Within your company settings, Admin users can enable language translation for all Pages.
- To enable language translation, navigate to your Profile avatar, and select Company Settings.
- Scroll to Language Translation and switch the toggle for 'Always provide translation options on web links' to ON.
-
When this setting is toggled on, all Pages will display a translation option dropdown.
-
Setting preferred language
Within your company settings, Admin can select common/known preferred languages across the organization. These preferred languages will display first within the language dropdown but the recipient still has access to select any of the 130 supported languages.
- To select organizational preferred languages, select up to three languages within the 'What are some of your employees preferred languages?'
Once a recipient navigates to a Page, they also have the ability to select their own preferred language. We recommend recipients setting this preference as it will apply to all Pages the employee interacts with.
-
To select your preferred language as a recipient, upon changing the translation the recipient will see an option 'Save preferred language' within the actions bar on the Page.
Upon clicking on 'Save preferred language', any Page (or email!) that the recipient interacts with will be defaulted to their preferred language.
A few important details to know in relation to this functionality:
- Language support: We are pleased to support over 130 languages, but there may be limitations for certain languages.
-
Accuracy: We aim to offer high-quality translation, but occasional inaccuracies or nuances may arise. We encourage users to verify translated content via a test send to oneself.

FAQs
Since Workshop's Language Translator is powered by AI, will any of my content be used to train the AI models?
No, we do not use any of your content or data to train AI models. If you have any further questions on the third party AI services Workshop uses, please refer to Workshop's AI policy and security protocol
If my organization does not allow AI to be used within our third-party platforms, is there any way to turn off these features?
Yes, please reach out to your customer success manager to have AI features disabled in your account. By disabling AI, you will turn off this feature plus, any additional features mentioned in Email: How can I leverage AI when creating content
What if Workshop's translator improperly translates a word/phrase in my email?
If you've noticed that Workshop’s auto-translation is changing a word or phrase that should stay the same—like your company name, a product name, or a person’s title—you can now prevent that with a simple setting.
In your Company Settings, you’ll find the option to exclude specific words or phrases from translation. Once added, these words will appear exactly as written in all translated versions of your email. This helps protect brand consistency, avoids mistranslations, and gives you more control over how your content appears in other languages.
We recommend using this feature for:
Brand and product names
Executive names or team member titles
Acronyms or coined internal terms
Any specialized terminology that shouldn’t be localized
This feature is especially useful for global teams who need accurate, on-brand communications across multiple languages.
To note, you have the ability to exclude words at any time & have the translated web version of your email update in real time!
