You will learn
- How to find the Workshop connector your admin added
- How to connect your Workshop account
- How to turn Workshop on in a conversation
- How to set tool permissions
- What to try first
Before you start
Your Claude admin needs to add Workshop to your organization first. If you're the admin, follow Connect Workshop to Claude instead.
You'll need:
- A Claude account on your company's Team or Enterprise plan
- A Workshop account you can sign in to
- Access to Workshop AI Studio
Find Workshop in your connectors
- In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
- Find Workshop in the list. It may show a Custom label.
Don't see Workshop? Your Claude admin hasn't added it to your organization yet. Send them Connect Workshop to Claude, which walks them through the setup. Once they've added it, come back and follow these steps.
Connect your Workshop account
- Click Connect next to Workshop.
- If the Finish connecting a connector? screen appears, click Continue connecting.
- Sign in to Workshop if it asks you to.
- On the Connect to Workshop screen, review what Claude will be able to do, then click Approve access.
- You're sent back to Claude. Workshop now shows as connected.
Note: Only click Continue connecting if you started the connection from Claude yourself.
Turn Workshop on in a conversation
- In a chat, click + at the bottom left of the message box.
- Select Connectors.
- Turn on the Workshop toggle.
Set tool permissions
Workshop gives Claude two tools. You choose when Claude can use each one.
| Tool | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Ask Workshop | Answers questions about your company's Workshop data, using Cici | Always allow |
| Draft Workshop Email | Creates an email draft in your Workshop account | Needs approval |
To change them, open Workshop in Customize > Connectors and pick Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked for each tool.
Note: Claude can't send or publish emails. Drafts stay in Workshop until you review and send them.
Try it out
- "Ask Workshop how many emails we sent last month."
- "Use Workshop to draft an email announcing our new PTO policy."
Tip: Bigger questions about your data can take a minute or two to answer.
